Have you ever seen the Sex & The City episode where Miranda throws out her neck/back and is stuck on the bathroom floor unable to move? Well, that was me, but on my couch this morning.
I woke up at 6am (very early for me) with a shooting pain in my back. I'm still in so much pain, i'm not quite sure what to do with myself. It feels as if someone is digging a butter knife into the right side of my upper back. And the pain is felt all the way down to my wrist. It feels best when I'm standing, but that's tough to do at work and still get stuff done.

Prescription: Take 4 ibuprofen (800 mg) 4 times a day. Really. I heard this from more than one doctor. Sometimes stuff like Ben Gay helps. Usually heat helps too. Then, imagine chi starting in your lower belly and going up your back and swirling around where it hurts. It helps to visualize the chi flowing like water.
Muscle relaxers, baby.
yeah, i can vouch that muscle relaxers work. although, for some people - such as comment posters on this very blog whose names sound like a room in a house - they can force you into a semi-vegitative state for 2-3 days. So if you become bored and begin to ponder the operation of heavy machinery, think twice.
Hopefully some Aidan lookalike can come rescue you. I'll be over later with the bullsh*it bagels.
