I admit it, I was excited about and I watched: Hooking Up last night on ABC. It reminded me of another show I admit to watching, Single In The City on the WE Channel. I always like when a show is set in NYC, but if it's successful, I see them going to somewhere in the midwest or south. Anyway, the most noteworthy parts were the commercials. I enjoyed the show, but I felt the commericals were interestingly placed.

1) Must Love Dogs - the movie that is just like the show. Ok, that was an easy ad sale.

2) Ortho Tri-Cyclen Low - very interesting commercial very early on in the show. I mean, ABC is owned by Disney, right?...you gotta tell the people about the safe sex. You know those crazy New York single women - they need some Disney-fied commercials.

3) Overstock.com - PLEASE STOP SHOWING THIS AD! That women is awful. It's all about the clothes...it's all about gold...it's all about the Shut Up! Next time you see it, take a look at the women after she says "It's all about the gold." Look at her horribly acted stare into the camera and then a partial smile. It drives me nuts. But yes, I remember what the ad is promoting, so I guess it worked to some extent.

4) Botox - When I first saw this commerical, I was confused. The first person says "I got back into my favorite jeans." Then the 2nd woman says "I had a good hair day." And out of nowhere, the 3rd woman says "I asked my Doctor about Botox." What? how do favorite jeans and a good hair day go with Botulism and no expression in your face. Hmmm.

Enjoy your Friday.
