It's time to vote, New Yorkers. We've all seen the political advertisements lately, and here's my favorite. It's for Manhattan Borough President candidate Brian Ellner. He's young and has his opinions on what he thinks a New Yorker is, but pay close attention to the last shot of him. Do you think he's trying to get the attention of a particular group of Manhattan residents? Would this help or hurt him?

Let me see, I believe he's trying to get the democrat, pro-gay vote. But, since I'm not a resident of Manhattan, I could be wrong. Now, if that ad ran out here...wait, that ad would never see the light of day here. This is known to some as ultra-conservative 'Jesusland,' but I'll just call us a red state. So, if it did run here, he'd be beaten by his opponent...possibly literally as well as figuratively. Just my take.
