It's Friday and that makes me happy. I worked really hard this week - got a lot done and I'm sure happy it's time for another weekend. It's 5:00 and I'm done with my work today so I'm listening to The Beatles on my iPod and reading stuff all over the web.

As if we weren't thinking about it enough, did you know that September is National Preparedness Month? They had a special fair in our company's lunchroom to pick up all the latest information about how to be prepared for the following events: Thunderstorms, Winter Weather, Coastal Storms, Extreme Heat, Fire, Earthquakes, Disease Outbreak, Carbon Monoxide Poisoning, Radiation Exposure, Building Collapses, Explosions, Hazardous Materials, Chemical Spills, Terrorism and finally how to deal with your mental health during all of this. I think I need therapy just reading the pamphlet!

So now I have about 50 pages to read through on how I should prepare for the end of the world. It's been sitting on my desk for 3 days and I cant bring myself to read it - hard to think about. Dont worry Mom, I'll read it and make myself a emergency box of sorts with all kinds of goodies. The only thing I need to make sure I dont do is to eat the snacks or drink the water in the kit before an emergency. I'll make sure not to put any chocolate in there, or it may slowly begin to disappear.

Have a nice weekend.
