I'll start off by saying that I am not a fan of Charter Schools. There are many reasons that I could go on and on about (contact me directly if you'd like to hear the rant), but here's a new one for ya: Virtual Charter Schools. Ok, it's not so new, but I just heard about it today. It's like a mix of Charter Schools with Home Schooling. I have soooo many issues with this:

namely....
  • what about social skills for students?
  • what about team work?
  • what about physical education?
  • what about music instruction?
  • what about face-to-face contact?
  • what about human interaction?

Will students be able to go off to college not having interaction with other students....or maybe they'll just go to Phoenix Online!

Phoenix Online? I'm waiting for the day I can have a virtual job! Huh? I already have one? Well, I never!

Yeah, don't get me started on that subject.

Hmm.. As a parent- who in their right mind would want to spend 24/7 with their children? As an educator with 3 degrees- I wonder if we can get all of our possible TAKS failure kids to sign up so we can meet NCLB?
