Who knew that the guys and girls of Laguna Beach actually have parents? They seem like kids that run their lives as they may and, oh right, someone must have raised them...or maybe it was the money. Anyway, I am watching the show and noticed that Kristin addressed a man as her dad. I'm surprised.
This past weekend - a few things to note. Today is Columbus Day and since Tino is Italian, we celebrate his heritage all weekend. On Friday, we went to Grand Central for a cocktail party - very nice. And on Saturday was the annual Columbus Day Gala presented by the Columbus Citizens Foundation. It was at the Waldorf Astoria - I had never been there, not as gawdy as I imagined it to be. The gala was lovely except I think they had too many people...I mean, you can never have too many people when it comes to fundraising, but the tables were very close together and crowded. I think there were close to 1,500 people there! The absolute worst part of the evening (and the only notable bad part) was Joe Piscapo. What a has-been. He tried to sing, claimed to love the entire audience, and rambled on and on about his italian family. Oh, and he messed up the words to New York, New York - WHO DOES THAT? Especially in the heart of NY.
On Sunday I studied all day - writing two papers and reading a few chapters for school. I wrote my paper about Negativity In The Workplace and I had to present this short paper in a 5 minute speech today in class, and both the paper and the presentation went well. Most presentations were informative and exciting, but some were so freakin boring. One girl went on for 15 minutes and the prof asked her to speed it up 4 times...and I never thought I'd be say this, but she was discussing the problems with mergers & acquisitions. I had always heard that phrase but never thought I'd use it....and never thought I'd have to listen to the most boring details from this girl's presentation. Potential problem: she's in my team for my semester-long project. Si fa cosi.
Does anyone watch Breaking Bonaduce? Wow, powerful show.

No, I haven't seen Bonaduce, but I've been hearing about it. Too bad his suicide got interrupted.
Maybe Piscapo and Bonaduce can fight to the death on some new version of that celebtrity boxing show that was popular a few years back. It would be more entertaining that watching Screech from Saved By The Bell fight has-beens like Tonya Harding. Oh wait, that bout was with Paula Jones...it was the white-trash battle royale. Oh well, I'm sure a Piscapo v. Bonaduce bout would draw ratings anyway :).
