So I just got home from a team meeting for my organizational behavior class - and as expected, 2 of the 4 members didnt show up. Wow, I love this team! So much that I wrote the lyrics below - please sing them with the Brady Bunch theme song in mind (Matt, the choice is song is for you!)

Here’s a story of a team of students
Who were working in a group to solve a task
There were 2 who worked a lot
As assigned to
The other 2 sucked ass

Till the one day when their leader did a drop kick.
A drop that could kick them in the head
And she sat a home and sharpened all her pencils
Till they had pointy lead.

The team from hell
They aren’t so swell
I am sure next week there’ll be more to tell.

ok, so the pencil part was a joke we have in the office. One coworker, when mad at someone, says she wants to stab them in the neck with a sharpened pencil. And although it sounds harsh, this coworker is the sweetest thing and it's even funnier because of that.

anyway, the 2-person team is doing quiet well on this project I have to admit. We work very well together and the project is going to kick some butt!

since I just got home from studying at the office after work, I really need to eat some dinner now. Speak with you all later.

Aw, I'm honored. Good ol' Brady Bunch theme song! There are days I want to write songs about what goes on at work here, but then that whole confidentiality agreement rears its ugly head.

I also use the 'stabbing in the neck with a pencil' remark, but I don't go to the extent of saying I want it sharpened...sometimes blunt is what a person wants :). Granted, I'd never do it, but it gives a good image, doesn't it?

Getting back to songs, maybe I should write lyrics to the bad Muzak that gets pumped into our office. That would be fun...

"I'll stab you in the thorax" was a phrase we often used in high school. Sharpened or blunt, the receiver of such a message got the point. Pun definitely intended.
