The coolest damn thing just happened! Around 3:45 today, I got a call from a coworker saying he and a group of people were going down to the lobby of our office building to bid farewell to Tom Freston, the recently ousted CEO of Viacom. We were all so very sad to see him go - he was one of us! He started MTV Networks and was a great leader for our company.

I went downstairs with my coworkers, and the elevator doors opened to a sea of people. We waited for about 10 minutes and then Tom made his way out of the executive elevator bank, greeted by the loudest rock-n-roll concert cheers!! By the time he got to the edge of the elevator bank, he turned toward the exit and tears filled his eyes. His jaw dropped when he saw what I think to be at least 1000 people chanting his name. The applause lasted for at least 10 minutes as he left the offices for the very last time.

We love you Tom. It won't be the same without you.

this is just one portion of the people downstairs
