hello readers - I have good news, my semester-long team project will be finished in a matter of hours. Yay! That means I have also finished my term paper about Managers Withouth Management Skills. Double yay! My group managed to get everything done (pretty smoothly after one member dropped out of school all together). We will most likely do our presentation tonight, but if another few groups beat us to it, we might have to present next monday. I hope we dont have to drag this out another week!!!!

So now I'm working on my 2nd term paper and studying for one final - both due next week. Who has time to christmas shop with all this school work? Not me. You may be receiving a copy of my term papers for Christmas....and if we're really close, I may give you the powerpoint presentation from tonight's event. I know you're excited :)

Ok, so let me bring in a new fun topic. In the past weekend, the topic of commercial jingles has come up a few times. They seem to be going strong this holiday season...but I would like to share my favorites.

Sing along is you know 'em

1) "Take a chance, make it happen, pop a cork, finger snappin'. Spend the wheel round and round we gooooo. Life is good, life is sweet, grab yourself a front row seat. Let's meet, and have a ball. Oh, let's live for the wonder of it all. Fox-Woods"

2) "Deck the halls with Christmas, The rockettes are all a dancin'. The choir is a singing, the sleighbells are a rining. Never was there ever such a Christmas show. You can fill your heart with Christmas, with someone that you know....and see the radio city christmas show."

3) "eight hundred, five-eight-eight, two three hundred....EMPIRE"

4) "One-eight-seven-seven I've Got Gas" (My personal favorite!)

5) "One-eight-hundred M-A-T-T-R-E-S ---- the extra S is for savings"

6) "Mattress professionals doing it right, trust Sleepy's for the rest of your life."

I could go on and on. What are your favorites?

I can't believe you get 800-588-2300 EMPIRE there! I thought that was just an annoying Midwestern commercial. The really bad one here (and ONLY here) is for a very high-end jewelry store and has two of the worse singers on the planet singing this horrible song where the chorus is 'Now and Always' and that's it. It makes me want to NOT shop at that store. Everybody I know hits the mute button the second that commercial comes on. Ugh.

The only other perennial commercial that sucks here is Tom Raper RVs. I know that commercial is getting nationwide, but I hope the NE part of the country isn't being subjected to that piece of crap.

I remembered another one that drives me nuts. Have you seen "Free Credit Report dot com." I have no idea why they actually need a song.

How about the Cingular ad that starts with the adolescent choir singing "We need a cell phone, how wicked would that be...?" Cool harmonies, but huge potential for being over-played and becoming annoying.

How about "It's fitness made simple...made for real people" I can't remember the rest but the pictures of the fitness celebrity himself can be found at http://www.fitnessmadesimple.com
