Day 2: Tennessee Fitness Spa
It's been a tough day. Lots of work and not much play, and not a lot of food. But truthfully, this place is great and I really enjoy it despite the starvation.
6:45 AM - Breakfast.
7:45 AM - Warm up for the walk. We dont know what to expect because the walk is different every day. We hear there are hills. Yikes. Hills mean different things to different parts of the country. In Texas, they call mountains that are really hills. And in NYC, you can go up 70th Street from York to Lexington and that's a hill. Both very different.
8:00 AM - We put ourselves in Group B, the 15 min mile group. And it's still a fast pace because there are hills now. On the straight-away, I could go fast, but these hills...yikes. Oh, and they are not only hills, but the entire trail is gravel. Very hard to walk on, especially on the down hills. But we survived and ended up walking 1/2 of the hike with Kimi Sue...one of the trainers here.
9:00 AM - Fill up on water and get ready for stretch class.
10:00 AM - Stretch class. Good times were had by all.
10:45 AM - Circuit training - same as yesterday but now we do upper body, cardio and abs. They really push the abs here. But that's my fav exercise, so I'm good with that.
11:30 AM - Resistaball Class - we use those big exercise balls to get another full body workout. Tough stuff...I was impressed.
12:15 PM - Lunch!!! YAY! Today's lunch was a surprise because we had chilli and grilled cheese sandwiches. They must have made it so low fat, but it tasted great. Must be all the spices in the chilli. Who cares, I like it. But when I held up the grilled cheese, I couldnt actually see any cheese...just looked like two pieces of bread. But hell, I was happy to have bread.
1:15 PM - Tubing Toning - using these rubber tubes that look like jump ropes, I got another full body workout. Great idea for working out at home or on the road. But to be honest, I probably won't buy them for myself.
1:45 PM - Kirsite Lou takes a nap and Christy Lee keeps going with Cardio Conditioning. I was happy to sit in the room and decompress...I've never even thought about working out this much.
3:15 PM - Aquacise - it sounds like an activity that a grandma would do, but trust me, it was a BIG workout. You don't sweat so you think you arent working. But the moment I stepped on dry land, I felt 100 lbs heavier. That wore me out.
4:00 PM - Stayed in the pool for the Aqua Stretch. Lovely.
4:30 PM - Christy Lee went to dry land Stretch and I went back to the room. I was beat!
6:00 PM - Dinner. We had chicken, carrots and broccolli. Good meal, but not as good as lunch. And we had sherbet for dessert...I could have eaten at least 3x as much as they gave us, and I'm not the only one. People are starting to trade desserts for other things...I'm wondering when money might come into play.
I've been relaxing the rest of the evening in a gazebo just chatting with the girls. Now a bunch of us are watching Angel Eyes (that J.Lo movie) in the TV room. I'm just happy to see moving pictures...havent seen TV in days.
I'm really sore, but I think if I can get through Wednesday, I'll be fine. Three solid days of working out will start to become easier. Signing off for now. Speak to you all soon.

Hmm...trading for desserts huh? Just imagine, if you can save up your desserts until Friday, think how much they'd be worth then!
So, how far are you going to walk tomorrow?
Oops, I forgot to ask...has anyone told you that you have a right purdy mouth?
