Thanks for all the responses regarding Scully - I see I hit a nerve of sorts. Love that.
Next question for ya: What is your dream job? Let's say you already have the degree/experience it takes to do this dream job (i.e. nothing's holding you back). And let's say you already have money to support yourself if you decide volunteerism is your choice. What would you do?
Be creative!

Retire, quit, etc. - keep grandchild, volunteer at library, join a dog rescue group, travel.
Start KellyBrook Acadamy (with help from the Kelly Foundation). It would be a PreK- 12 school for ALL children. We would not have to take standardized tests, follow specific methodologies or dogmas. We would focus in on student strenghts while helping fill in gaps. We would have a variety of curricular choices for every grade and I would be the leader of the school, of course!
Don't laugh K. - I'd be conductor of the NY Phil :).
Like that commercial (I can't remember what product) where the emcee is asking 3 beauty contestants what is they one thing they want most, and every one answers, "World Peace."
I kind of already have my dream job of managing bands. The only thing is that I'm doing it as a side job to a crappy day job. So given the appropriate amount of funds, I would quit my day job and manage bands full-time.
And while we're on the subject, everyone should check out the band i'm managing, Second Movement (www.secondmovement.com). Thanks for the shameless self-promotion, KB!
I'd be a doctor of some sort. Or a speechwriter for the President.
